BIG EAST Power Rankings: Week 9

Welcome back to the 2010-2011 Big East Power Rankings. The rules are simple, we've invited the SB Nation (or friend of SB Nation) blog for each team to cast a vote. They rank the teams from one to 16 and then we bring you the results. Enjoy.

Both the Pittsburgh Panthers and the Syracuse Orange re-affirmed their status at the pole-position of the conference by splitting the first place votes this week, while your beloved Villanova Wildcats were a near unanimous pick right behind them at 3rd.

Once again Big Monday gives us a big-time upset that is too late for this week's rankings, this time with the Marquette Golden Eagles taking the Notre Dame Fighting Irish out behind the shed for a 22-point win. As mentioned though, too late for this week's rankings though, and ND comes in at 4th.

The Georgetown Hoyas took the biggest dive down to 9th, with some of our pollsters ranking them low as 11th. Completely deserved after a 1-3 conference start though.

As always make sure to head over to the motherpost to check for your Homers and Haters of the Week. I have managed to avoid this so far - might be time to start ranking Georgetown 16th though. Here are your rankings:
