NCAA Basketball Bracketology: BIG EAST Reigns Supreme

Our resident bracketologist (is this actually a real profession now? NOBODY GIVE JOE LUNARDI CREDIT!), Chris Dobbertean, has posted his latest attempt at predicting the 65-team field that captures our minds and hearts every March.

The BIG EAST came in as the most-represented conference at 10 teams, which would be a record, and right now, doesn't seem that far-fetched considering we had 5 teams ranked in the Top 10 of last week's polls.

He's got the Villanova Wildcats as a #3 seed (and rising) in the same bracket as the Syracuse Orange (#1 seed) and the Kentucky Wildcats (#2 seed). The Texas Longhorns fall in the #4 spot in the West region.

Oddly enough, he's got the Georgetown Hoyas as a #2 seed. Not sure Chris saw their fail last night against the St. John's Red Storm. Or their beating at the hands of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, but they certainly have not looked like a #2 seed lately.
