Blue and White Scrimmage

This morning's Blue and White Scrimmage ended with a score of 33-23 in favor a a Blue team that featured junior point guard Maalik Wayns and Hoops Mania slam dunk title-winner Maurice Sutton. James Bell, Markus Kennedy and walk-on guards, Nick McMahon and Dallas Ouano were also on the winning side.

The teams played hard as evidenced by the bandaid spotted on Ouano's eye later in the morning.

Wayns score 16 points for the Blue team, while Kennedy added 7 points and six rebounds and James Bell contributed four points and three boards. Sutton had a strong performance as well, tallying 6 points and 6 rebounds for the winners.

Blue had a slight 13-10 advantage at half-time, which they slowly but surely expanded in the second half.

For White, freshman guard Ash Yacoubou lead the team with 10 points and one assist, while Mouphtaou Yarou matched Sutton's stat-line. Freshman point guard Ty Johnson was happy to set up his teammates, logging a team-high 3 assists.

Blue was .550 shooting from the field, while White only connected on 10-of-25 (.400) for the game.
