Villanova 2011 Blue-White Scrimmage Highlights

New, 2 comments

Special treat today as we've found some video of the Villanova Wildcats 2011 Blue-White scrimmage that took place on Saturday morning as part of Homecoming weekend.

Dominic Cheek did not play in the game (he is nursing a minor hamstring tweak) but I think you'll really like what you see from Markus Kennedy. We finally appear to have a true back-to-the-basket post player. When he gets the ball, he doesn't mess around.

Ty Johnson looked like he had a tough time sticking with Maalik Wayns on defense, but I'm not surprised. Wayns looks primed for a huge year. The word on Johnson is that he looks pretty good for having missed most of the summer with a broken foot - especially his spot-up shot. He's not creating much offense for himself off the dribble, yet. Sounds like a true point guard.

These are brief highlights, but what other thoughts do you have based on these videos? Even better, if you were at the game, let us know what you saw.
