Pinkson happy to back in Villanova fold
JayVaughn Pinkston is nearing the end of a yearlong wait to officially begin his career as a Villanova basketball player. And considering the excitement he is feeling with opening day of the regular season being two weeks away, he's thankful he waited.

The football office at Villanova was teeming with activity Wednesday afternoon. The offensive coaches met in one of the two conference rooms to go over that day’s itinerary before heading off to team meetings and then practice. Villanova (7-9, 3-2) will go into the final BIG EAST game of the regular season against No. 6 Syracuse (14-3, 4-1) having already clinched a spot in the BIG EAST conference tournament next weekend. Strangely, the Wildcats are already guaranteed to face the Orange again next Friday afternoon in Syracuse at the annual conference tournament.

Mergen, Petkovich and Maroon Reach Milestones
2011 has been memorable so far for the Villanova volleyball team. Seniors Kim Maroon and Maggie Mergen and redshirt junior Morgan Petkovich all reached career milestones this season and the squad celebrated their success last weekend in the home match against Connecticut.
