Manhattan GameWatch - Check The Comments Here And Pray You We've Got Friends At The Game |
Tonight the Villanova Wildcats unofficially open their 2011-2012 campaign when they host the New York Institute of Technology Bears at the Wells Fargo Center. This game will not be on TV anywhere and an internet stream is unlikely as well.
NYIT was picked to finish 6th in the East Coast Conference this year, which is housed in Division II of the NCAA. This shouldn't be much of a task for Villanova in terms of getting a win - but the more interesting things of note will be the rotation (expect the young guys to get a lot of minutes) and who is willing to step up and treat this like a real game and earn their minutes.
Specifically, we'll be interested in seeing who is taking shots, who is dishing the ball, and most importantly, who is efficiently scoring.
We're hoping that some of the people in attendance will be kind enough to provide updates in the comments. We'll also be on Twitter providing updates whenever we can via people at the game. Let's hope for no injuries and a nice game for our guys. 'Nova basketball is back!
