2011 NFL Draft: Ben Ijalana Selected By The Indianapolis Colts

Villanova OT/OG Ben Ijalana has been drafted by Indianapolis Colts the with the 49th overall pick in the second round of the 2011 NFL Draft. Ijalana fills a huge need for the on the offensive line, and provides added value as he was an All-American left tackle at the FCS level for Villanova, but can also shift inside to play offensive guard if needed to.

The Colts traded up from #51 to get Ijalana, indicating they really wanted him, and believed he probably wouldn't have made it past the New York Giants

Many pro scouts believe Ijalana's future is at guard, and that he can become an elite Pro Bowl-caliber player at that position. Needless to say, fans should be very happy with this pick as Ijalana provides a lot of upside, and was at one point considered a potential 1st-round pick.

...Nice place for him to land behind a future Hall of Fame QB in Peyton Manning...
