UPDATE: The Charlotte Bobcats have released a statement.
We are aware of the unfortunate incident involving Dante Cunningham in Pennsylvania. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment until the legal process has run its course.
Former Villanova Wildcats start Dante Cunningham was arrested in Radnor Township near the Villanova campus last Friday according to NBC Sports. Police pulled over Cunningham, who was driving a silver pickup truck with Oregon plates for speeding and reckless driving.
Upon a search, police found marijuana, a pipe, and a loaded BB gun.
Cunningham was released pending a hearing.
In late February, Cunningham was traded from the Portland Trail Blazers to the Charolotte Bobcats. The Bobcats did not make the NBA Playoffs, so it is the offseason for the 2nd year player.
