Kyle Anderson Down To 5 Schools, Eliminates Villanova

Kyle Anderson, one of the most highly touted prospects in the Class of 2012, has put together a list of 5 finalists for his college commitment. Anderson will choose from the Georgetown Hoyas, Florida Gators, UCLA Bruins, St. John's Red Storm, and Seton Hall Pirates.

Anderson previously was considering the Villanova Wildcats, but has dropped them in his latest round of cuts. The 6'8" prospect wants to play point guard in college, and it's been widely suggested that he would not have the chance to do that at 'Nova.

Anderson is ranked as the #1 point guard in his class by Rivals.com and the #4 player overall regardless of position.

...With Ryan Arcidiacono already in the fold, it didn't make sense to recruit Anderson to me all along, but he is an exceptional talent...I think his future is as a point-forward anyways and that's where his potential will be maximized...

...Amile Jefferson is really the only guy left on the board for us in 2012, and we are tight on scholarships at the moment...somebody would have to leave early or transfer to fit him...
