Offensive linemen Nico D'Angelo and Jake Prus from Southern New Jersey have committed to Villanova and have given Villanova Wildcats football head coach Andy Talley his first two commitments of the 2012 recruiting cycle.
D'Angelo stands at 6'4" and 275 lbs. and chose 'Nova over offers from Miami (OH), Tulane, Buffalo, William & Mary and Old Dominion. Check out Nico D'Angelo's Rivals recruiting profile here.
"Academically it is a great school and a great fit for him," Holy Spirit coach Charlie Roman said of D’Angelo choosing Villanova.
Prus checks in at 6'6" and 260 lbs., and chose the Wildcats over Columbia, Penn, James Madison and Bucknell. He has featured at both center and defensive tackle for his high school the past 2 seasons, and will be shifting to offensive tackle this fall. Check out Jake Prus' Rivals recruiting profile here.
...D'Angelo is a nice pickup as Temple also had interest in addition to some D-1 offers...Prus sounds like he has a good frame and with some work in the weight room could be a solid player...
