The July basketball recruiting period is bringing in a ton of reports as the summer circuit gets underway. Previously we mentioned Rysheed Jordan and his lack of a Villanova mention in his interview, and now another major prospect for 2013 is actually talking about Villanova.

According to Alex Kline of The Recruit Scoop, 2013 big man Jordan Washington listed Villanova, Arizona, Tennessee and Miami as his early favorites.
Washington is an intriguing prospect, and his evaluation on ESPN might get you inappropriately excited since we always have a hard time developing our big men into dominant players.
There will be few players in the country who can match Washington's combination of power and mobility. If he can continue to mature and develop his skill set he has the potential to play the game at a high level down the road.
Over at VUHoops, Brian started talking about Crazy John Calipari's notion that the NCAA should move to a 72-team super-conference and leave all the poor schools in the rearview mirror. Poor Cal, he might only be a few years away from actually coaching one of the poor schools once the infractions catch up to him. How'd that be for poetic justice?
