We spend the majority of our time here covering Villanova basketball and Villanova footbally - oh and men's soccer too! An lacrosse as well, kind of. But hey, can you blame us? Those are our marquee sports that garner national attention. (Okay, not really for futbol - but I love those guys)

Women's Soccer Played To 1-1 Draw in Exhibition Match at Hofstra
In a preseason exhibition game Villanova played to a 1-1 draw against Hofstra at the Soccer Stadium on Saturday night. This was the only tune up for the Wildcats prior to their season opener next week and the result was a positive one for Villanova against a team that received votes in the preseason national rankings.

The Villanova volleyball squad was selected fifth overall in the 2011 BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll, the league office announced on Monday afternoon.
Men's Tennis to Host Fall Tournament on West Campus

Swimmers Natalie Elphick and Roxy Tammadge Set to Compete at World University Games
Junior swimmers Natalie Elphick and Roxy Tammadge, both natives of Durban, South Africa, will begin competition this weekend in the World University Games in Shenzhen, China. Both earned a selection to compete for South Africa based on their performances at the country's Telkom SA National Aquatic Championships held in April.
Women's Field Hockey Picked to Finish Sixth in BIG EAST
The Villanova field hockey team has been selected to finish sixth out of the seven teams in the BIG EAST preseason conference poll, as announced on Thursday afternoon. The Wildcats are coming off a season where they went 7-10 overall and 2-4 in the BIG EAST, which gave them a tied for fourth place finish.
