Morning Cup 'O Mud: The Battle For Amile Jefferson

With the transfer of Isaiah Armwood confirmed, the chase for 2012 prospect Amile Jefferson is fully on for Jay Wright and Villanova. Prior to Armwood's transfer, there wasn't a scholarship free for Jefferson (and it's already assumed that Maurice Sutton won't be back for a fifth year to make room for Daniel Ochefu's commitment).

Jefferson, who would be Wright's highest ranked prospect in an already stellar 2012 recruiting class, recently took a visit to North Carolina State, who's looking like 'Nova's biggest competition for Jefferson's signature. That and more in your morning link roundup.

The 6-foot-6, 255-pound two-way lineman verbally committed in late June to play at Villanova University, part of the Football Championship Subdivision (formerly known as Division I-AA).
