Joe Price & Dustin Thomas Out For The Season?

Things just keep getting worse for the Villanova Wildcats football team as news filtered through earlier today via Andy Talley's CAA conference call that QB Dustin Thomas and WR Joe Price may be lost for the season.

Thomas left the game against Towson in the 2nd half with a sprained left shoulder, but according to Talley, the injury may end his season. It appears the injury may be a more serious separated shoulder, an injury with a recovery time of around 6-8 weeks. Christian Culicerto deputised in his stead - but it will be true freshman Chris Polony who takes the reigns when 'Nova retakes the field.

In much more serious news, WR Joe Price was hospitalized following the game with 4 broken ribs, a concussion, a sprained left ankle, and a collapsed lung. Our prayers are with Joe for a full recovery!
