Villanova Wildcats freshman point guard Tyrone Johnson suffered a broken foott over the summer, causing him to miss the team's trip to Europe this summer, but it appears that Johnson is fully back to practicing with the team according to a tweet from Jay Wright this morning.
This is a huge boost for a young Villanova team which was playing Darrun Hilliard as the primary backup PG to Maalik Wayns during the European trip. Johnson was a very highly rated recruit out of Montrose Christian and is a pure point guard, unlike Hilliard (though in fariness, Darrun deputized well on the trip). His health is essential to a successful season for Villanova, so it's great to have him back in the fold.
