Now that the Basketball season is over for Villanova, it's time to reflect on what has occurred over the past few months. As a new tradition for VUhoops, we will be polling our readers to assign awards and/or superlatives to the basketball team based on the 2011-12 season. Below, you will find your ballot to vote on the players you think deserve recognition.
Voting will be open until 11:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2011.
We will briefly describe each award to let you know the criteria you should consider:
Offensive Player of the Year:
Which Villanova player contributed the most to the offense? This award is not limited to scoring, but should take into account the entire contribution of a player to the offensive flow of the team.

Defensive Player of the Year:
Which Villanova player contributed the most to the defense? This includes all contributions on the defensive side of the ball, including statistics like blocks, rebounds, steals, as well as the intensity of their performance and intangible contributions.
