CAA meeting with NBC in Philadelphia

When the CAA conference signed its latest television deal with NBC Sports, the only detail hammered out was that the NBC Sports Network would air a minimum of 5 CAA football games nationally, in addition to other games that will be aired on regional Comcast networks. Today, the process of determining those games has begun, with CAA commissioner Yeager and CAA football officials meeting with NBC officials in Philadelphia.

According to the CAA, Yeager and the CAA's contingent arrived in Philadelphia last night, in advance of meetings ongoing this morning.

The discussions will include the 5 games that will be chosen — to be finalized and announced in July, as well as broadcasts from the CAA Football Media Day, and any digital opportunities, which may include an ESPN3.com-like platform for streaming live games over the internet. The logistics and style of the broadcasts will also be on the slate for discussion.
