Josh Hart became the second member of the Villanova Wildcats class of 2013 last week when he made his commitment. He joins Kris Jenkins as commitments to 'Nova, and Hart, like Jenkins, will be hitting the recruiting trail for Villanova hoping to impact future classes.
It wasn't all good news in the pas week though as Chinonso Obokoh pulled the trigger for Syracuse last night and BJ Johnson will be deciding between Syracuse, Temple and Rutgers on Wednesday. Johnson's isn't that big of a deal since Wright got his man in Hart though.
That leaves Tyler Roberson, perhaps the #1 target for Wright and staff for this entire cycle. If Roberson, who will be visiting for Hoops Mania on 10/26, doesn't pop for the 'Cats, Wright will be scrambling to add a quality frontcourt player.
Villanova has 2 seniors on the roster this season in Mouphtaou Yarou and Maurice Sutton, and have 12 scholarship roster players (Dylan Ennis will be taking a redshirt year). 'Nova will be targeting anywhere from 1 to 3 prospects for the 2013 recruiting class.
Kris Jenkins became Villanova's 1st verbal commitment on August 26th.
Josh Hart became Villanova's 2nd verbal commitment on October 10th.
New updates will appear in BOLD.
Point Guards
With Tony Chennault, Ty Johnson and Ryan Arcidiacono on campus this fall (and Dylan Ennis joining the following season), point guard is not a huge position of need and for now Jay Wright is focusing on other areas.
Shortly after putting Villanova back on his list, Rysheed Jordan has trimmed his list to 7 schools. Villanova did not make the cut.
Shooting Guards
Arcidiacono, Achraf Yacoubou, Darrun Hilliard & James Bell can also play off the ball in a pinch if needed, but Jay Wright is still exploring options.

Ron Patterson | Indianapolis, IN (Brewster Academy) | 6'3", 195 lbs. |
|
Coach Chill was at Brewster to watch Patterson, a former Indiana commit who didn't qualify in 2012. There hasn't been much noise here since and Patterson appears to be a backup plan in case Hart falls through. |
Small Forwards
There isn't a huge need here with the recent addition of Mislav Brzoja from Croatia, in addition to James Bell, Darrun Hilliard, and even JayVaughn Pinkston's capability to play the 3. Josh Hart and Kris Jenkins make SF locked up for the considerable future.
Forwards
Say it with me: Tyler Roberson!

Tyler Roberson |

Roberson recently tripped to Rutgers for their Midnight Madness event (unofficial) and will see Kansas, Villanova and Kentucky in the coming weeks, in that order. He is Villanova's #1 target left on the board. |
Centers
With Markus Kennedy transferring, Mouph set to graduate and only Daniel Ochefu waiting in the wings, it's imperative that Jay Wright add a big body (or 2) up front.

Gavin Schilling |
Chicago, IL (Findlay Prep) |
6'9", 230 lbs. |
|
Schilling plans to decide on a school in the spring, which fits with Villanova's time period if room opens up due to attrition since Roberson is plan A. Schilling declared his interest in 'Nova, along with a host of other schools. |
Let's chat about our targets in the comments - is Roberson a realistic target? What would the backup plan be?
