Villanova Olympic Sport Oct-22 Recap

• Men's Soccer lost 0-2 to Syracuse in a mid-week match to end their 7-match streak without a loss. They Wildcats then lost at Louisville 0-1 to see their first 2-match losing streak of the season.
• Women's Volleyball lost 3 sets to non to the Blue Hens from Delaware. They also lost 1-3 to DePaul and in straight sets to Notre Dame.
• Women's Soccer downed 11th ranked Georgetown 1-0 thanks to Freshman Emily Damstrom's 28th minute strike. Jami Kranich was names BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, Damstrom earned BIG EAST Rookie of the Week, and Taylor Houck was named to the conference's weekly honor roll.(Chalfont, Pa.) was also named to the weekly honor roll for her performance against the Hoyas.
• Women's Field Hockey traveled to Kentucky and lost to Louisville, 1-3. They also lost 0-4 to the Hoosiers in Bloomington, IN.
• Women's Rowing competed in the 48th Head of the Charles Regatta and finished 18 out of 34 in the Women's Club 8 and 35th out of 40 in the Championship *s event that featured the national teams of the United States and Canada.
• Men's Golf participated and won the Lehigh Invitational against 7 other schools.
