Opponent Information

Opponent Profile: The Delaware Blue Hens are a member of the the Colonial Athletic Association for all sports. Delaware boasts one of the most successful FCS football programs of all time, having won 6 national championships (the most recent coming in 2003) and playing in the national championship game in both 2007 and 2010. Similiar to Villanova's quick fall from grace in 2011, Delaware is experiencing a down year by their standards so far in 2012. Villanova had won 5 straight games against Delaware until last season's game.

Last Week: A 23-17 loss to Richmond.

Coaches & Players

Head Coach: K.C. Keeler is in his 11th season at Delaware and sports an 86-51 record to date. Keeler won the national championship with Delaware in 2003 and brought the team to the finals in both 2007 and 2010.

Most Famous Football Alum: My personal pick would be Rich Gannon, who won the NFL MVP in 2004 and played in a Super Bowl for the Oakland Raiders, but the younger crowd may opt for Joe Flacco of the Baltimore Ravens (who incidentally never beat Villanova).

Key Offensive Players: QB Trent Hurley | RB Andrew Pierce | WR Nihja White

Key Defensive Players: DB Travis Hawkins | LB Paul Worrilow | DB Marcus Burley
