Villanova football commit Lorenzo Fertitta, Jr. was selected to participate in the 2013 Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, as a top-rated player selected for character, academic performance and leadership.

After completing his senior season at Bishop Gorman High School, Villanova football commit Lorenzo Fertitta was selected to play in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl, to be held on Friday, January 4th at the Home Depot Center in Los Angeles. The event is sponsored by the United States Marine Corps.

According to the website, the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl hopes to demonstrate Marine Corps' commitment to developing quality citizens and reinforce their core values of honor, courage, and commitment. It offers an opportunity for quality players, coaches and Marines to meet, practice and work together to teach skills important on and off the field, such as leadership, self-confidence and teamwork.

5-9, 168-pound Fertitta is the only player in the game currently committed to an FCS program, though a number of the participants have not yet announced a college choice.
