Coaches & Players

Head Coach: Joe Moorhead begins his first season as head coach of the Fordham Rams. Moorhead was a 2nd team All-Patriot League quarterback at Fordham and a team captain in 1996 and is returning to his alma mater to coach. Moorhead was most recently the offensive coordinator for UConn and also had coaching stints at Akron and Georgetown. Moorhead's background is on the offensive side of the ball.

Top Assistants: David Blackwell is the defensive coordinator, his most recent job coming in 2009 with South Florida, a defense that finished 24th nationally. Joel Rodriguez and Andrew Breiner will share the offensive coordinator duties. Rodriguez will handle the running game while Breiner will guide the passing attack.

Most Famous Football Alum: Vince Lombardi, who was an undersized tackle for the Rams until his senior year when he moved to right guard. Fordham's offensive line was nicknamed the "Seven Blocks of Granite" during that season (1936), and was considered one of the nation's best and they came within a game of a Rose Bowl invite. Lombardi was best-known, however, for his coaching career in the NFL.

Key Offensive Players: QB Ryan Higgins | RB Carlton Koonce | WR Nick Talbert

Key Defensive Players: LB Mike Martin | LB Jake Rodriques | DL DeAndre Slate
