The Villanova Wildcats landed in the South Region as a 9-seed, and will face the North Carolina Tar Heels, in a match that will offer up a chance for revenge from back in 2005 when a dubious traveling violation against Allan Ray sent the Wildcats packing against the eventual champs.
The game will be held on Friday in Kansas City, MO with tip-off set for 7:20 ET. The game will be televised on TNT. The second roundup matchup will be the winner of the number one seed Kansas Jayhawks and the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers.

It's Selection Sunday! Most projections have the Villanova Wildcats in the field of 68, but where they fall varies from bracketologist to bracketologist.
Chris Dobbertean has Villanova as an 11-seed playing UNLV in Austin, TX. Their second round matchup would be the winner of Florida and Montana.
Joe Lunardi has Villanova as a 10-seed playing Butler in Dayton, OH (not a play-in game). Their second round matchup would be against Ohio State or Western Kentucky.
Jerry Palm has Villanova as a 12-seed in the play-in game playing St. Mary's. Boo!
Jay Wright and select members of the Villanova Wildcats basketball team will speak to the media after the announcement. We've got your coverage here, but let's chat about it in the comments as it unfolds!
