Depth Chart Position: While Lewis will still see some time at NG (likely in passing situations), he's expected to swing outside and occupy one of the defensive end spots to make room for Pat Williams to start inside.
How He Came To Villanova: Lewis was a 1st Team All-League selection for Mainland High School in New Jersey and has been starting on the defensive line since his freshman season, improving his tackle totals in each of his first 3 years.
Expected Output In 2013: The position change is still a bit unconfirmed, but the emergence of Williams in the middle, and Andy Talley's desire to shore up the run defense makes it a high probability that Lewis is shifting outside. With that may come a decrease in tackle totals, especially with offenses likely to shade away from Lewis' massive presence on the edge. An increase in sack totals would be a welcome addition.
