Prowling The Roster: #88 Reggie Paris

We're counting down the days to Villanova's season opener by profiling every player on the roster.

#88 Reggie Paris

(RS) Sophomore, 6'3" 240 lbs.

Pemberton, NJ

2012 Stats: Paris finished the season with 12.5 tackles (11 solo, 3 assisted) and 2 sacks. He also forced a fumble.

Depth Chart Position: As noted in our depth chart preview, Paris performed very well in spring ball, and may perhaps have earned himself a starting DE position, if Antoine Lewis remains in the middle.

How He Came To Villanova: Paris played both linebacker (where he started his 'Nova career) and tight end at Pemberton High School, and also had some offers to play basketball in college.

Expected Output In 2013: Whether he is officially listed as a starter or not is almost irrelevant, as Paris has been earmarked by the coaching staff to have a breakout season. His move from LB to DE is complete, and he should be a big part of the defense for the next 3 seasons. Expect a pretty nice sack output from Paris this season.
