#55 DT Jordan Hunter
Junior, 6'2" 310lbs.
Burlington Twp, NJ
2012 Stats: Hunter hasn't been able to break into the defensive line rotation just yet in his career, holding him back from recording much in the way of statistics last season.
Depth Chart Position: A healthy Hunter would have a chance to be a major contributor on the defensive line in 2013, but Jordan suffered a very disappointing meniscus injury that held him out of Spring practices. That injury will push him down the depth chart to the second or third level.
How He Came To Villanova: In addition to being a star on the defensive line at Burlington Township High School, Hunter also played tight end and punted. His athleticism stayed under the radar, however, but the Wildcats believed that the big-bodied lineman could compete for playing time early in his career at Villanova. He played soccer for most of his childhood and did not pick up football until high school.
Expected Output In 2013: If he bounces back this summer and puts in a good effort in preseason, he could find himself in the rotation on D-line. The coaching staff will be looking for help to battle some of the CAA's stronger offensive lines and running games, so Hunter's chances to get on the field and accumulate statistics appear strong. If nothing else, he will lead the team in bow ties worn.
