Prowling The Roster: #26 CB C.J. Logan

We're counting down the days to Villanova's season opener by profiling every player on the roster.

#26 CB C.J. Logan

(RS) Freshman, 5'11" 20 lbs.

Watertown, MA

2012 Stats: Logan redshirted during the 2012 season.

Depth Chart Position: Exiting spring practice, we had Logan behind Shane Harris in the pecking order to replace the departed Eric Loper, but it looks like a dead heat entering fall camp.

How He Came To Villanova: CJ Logan committed to Villanova late in the class of 2012, after having previously committed to Bentley University. Logan played QB in high school but was recruited to play defense by both schools. Originally from Alabama, he played his high school ball at Watertown HS before spending a PG year at Northfield Mt. Herman.

Expected Output In 2013: Logan and Shane Harris will likely both see the field plenty in 2013, an impressive feat for Logan considering the position switch he has gone through and having spent all of last season on the practice fields. Eric Loper was one of the top playmakers on defense (and the top CB), so Harris will have some big shoes to fill - some struggles may be expected but he clearly has the raw talent to make an impact so early in his career.
