Prowling The Roster: #19 QB John Robertson

We're counting down the days to Villanova's season opener by profiling every player on the roster.

#19 QB John Roberston

Sophomore, 6'1" 210 lbs.

Paramus, NJ

2012 Stats: Robertson appear in all 13 games, starting 12 and threw for 1965 yards (152-253, 60.1%) for 14 touchdowns with 7 interceptions. and rushed for 1,022 yards on 190 carries (5.4 avg.) for 14 touchdowns. For his efforts, Robertson was given the Jerry Rice Award, as well as being named 3rd Team All-CAA.

Depth Chart Position: Robertson is the starter at quarterback for Villanova.

How He Came To Villanova: Robertson starred for Paramus High School, and was named 1st Team All-County, 2nd Team All-State and All-Metro.

Expected Output In 2013: Robertson's running game is a given, but with all the abuse running quarterbacks take, I think some 'Nova fans would like to see him take a little bit back from that and add to his passing game. 1000 yards may be hard to do again for Robertson, but if he can get to a 65% completion rate and create 30+ touchdowns in 2013, 'Nova Nation will be thrilled.
