Maurice Sutton ('13) was selected on Friday in the NBA's Developmental League Draft by the Tulsa 66ers. Sutton, the 6'11" Villanova alumn, was the 11th selection in Third Round. He was the 45th overall selection.
The 66ers are affiliated with the Oklahoma City Thunder. During his senior season, Sutton averaged 3.2 points and 2.7 rebounds. The big man tallied 100 blocked shots in his Villanova career- 11th most in the history of the school.
Tulsa had eight selections in total, including the overall #1 selection, Grant Jarrett. The team is coached by Serbian, Darko Rajakovic.
