Lamar Stevens, a 6'7" 205 lb. guard/forwardfrom Haverford, PA picked up an offer from Villanova on Tuesday evening, per his Twitter account. The offer appears to be the first for Stevens, though it is obviously very early in his recruitment.

Lamar Stevens recently transferred to Neumann-Goretti per CoBL, who calls him a "special player that is extremely skilled and has unlimited potential." Stevens is also a part of the elite Philly-based Team Final AAU program, which has strong ties to Villanova.
Though most recruiting sites have not yet released their 2016 rankings, Future150 has graded Stevens a 4-star prospect and ranked him #83 in the country. Brian Flinn called Stevens a "scorer who is a potential matchup nightmare." Stevens was one of the most impressive performers at the recent Pangos All-East Frosh/Soph event, which landed him rave reviews from Dunk Dog.
Stevens was most recently in attendance at Villanova's Hoops Mania event, so this looks like Jay Wright confirming that there is heavy mutual interest. Wright's desire to bring in players who fit his style of play is on display with this offer, as Stevens' versatility would make him a valuable asset for 'Nova. Keep that Philly pipeline open!
