Lafayette looks to build on their 19-15 record from 2013 (winning 10 of their final 13 games) that saw them finish 2nd in the Patriot League and lose to Bucknell in the conference tournament championship. They look to follow-up last year's performance and have been tabbed to finish 2nd this season by the Conference's coaches.

The front court will be anchored by junior Seth Hinrichs, who averaged 14.5ppg last season. The 6'7" forward is an excellent shooter from distance who also contributed just under 5 rebounds per contest last season.

Lafayette is also returning 6'9" Aussie Dan Trist- the team's #3 scorer last season and solid rebounder. Bryce Scott who made the Conference All-Rookie team last season, looks to build on his 25 minutes and 8ppg and will be a focused contributor on this year's squad.

Following the departure of All-Conference Tony Johnson who averaged 13.8ppg last season, the Leopards will have a huge hole in the back court look. Zach Rufer and junior Les Smith should be able to provide experience in an attempt to the fill the hole. Additionally, freshman Nick Lindner, a Germantown Academy graduate, is expected to compete immediately for minutes as well at the point .

Head Coach

Fran O'Hanlon- the former Villanovan ('70) is in his 19th season at the helm of Lafayette where he has tallied a 258-275 record. Through his tenure at the Patriot League school, he has won three conference championships and has taken the team to the NCAA Tournament Twice; most recently in 2000.

BTW, O'Hanlon still holds the single game record for assists at Villanova (16 against Toledo in February 1970). He was inducted in the Villanova Hall of Fame in 1992.

Famous Alumni

George Barclay (inventor of the football helmet), former Princeton basketball coach Pete Carril, and Harrison Woodhull Crosby who commercialized the canned tomato are all alumni of the Easton, PA campus.
