Villanova Men's Lacrosse Downs Stony Brook in Scrimmage

As the calendar turns to February, college lacrosse is getting underway. This past Saturday, Delaware beat High Point in the first official action of the 2013 lacrosse season. The Villanova Wildcats were also in action, although the result did not count. Nova scrimmaged the Stony Brook Seawolves at Villanova Stadium and according to reports, the Cats won by a score of 12-10. Stony Brook regularly competes for the America East title, so it was good for the Cats to play against someone other than themselves.

Villanova continues their scrimmage schedule this weekend at home versus Sacred Heart and Cabrini at 11 AM. The regular season opens up at home against Lehigh on February 16th at 1 pm ET.
