NCAA Women's Tournament: #9 Villanova vs. #8 Michigan

The Villanova Women's Basketball team start their March Madness journey on Sunday as the 9th seed in the Spokane Region.

Harry Perretta's squad, led by senior Laura Sweeney, is 21-10 and will take on MIchigan in a game hosted at Stanford in Palo Alto, CA. It is Villanova's first 20-win team in 7 years and the Lady Wildcats' first trip to the Tourny since 2009.

Sweeney, a second team All-Big East player, leads Nova in scoring (13.9) and rebounding (6.9) as well as steals and blocks.

This is Villanova's tenth trip to the NCAA Women's Tournament.

Tip off is set for 730p ET and will be broadcast on ESPN2.

The winner of the game will take on the winner of the #1 Stanford vs. #16 Tulsa game on Tuesday.
