Former Villanovan Maalik Wayns has been signed by the LA Clippers through the end of the 2013 season.
Wayns was originally a free-agent signing by the Philadelphia. After he was waived by the Sixers and played in the D-League with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the Clippers signed him to two back-to-back 10-day contracts before this agreement for the balance of the season.
The rookie has appeared in 24 NBA games this season including three with the Clips.
With LA, he is averaging 3.7 points and 2.3 assists in about 9 minutes of action.
The Clippers who are currently in third place in the West have a guaranteed spot in the Playoffs and have 8 games remaining in the NBA regular season.
