USA TODAY Sports

Possible movement still exists for Villanova's seeding in the upcoming BIG EAST Tournament. Although the Georgetown, Marquette, and Louisville trifecta are battling it out (and crossing fingers) for the #1 spot, the Wildcats' ranking is still to be determined.

Saturday Morning
Standings
Rank Big East W-L
1 Georgetown 13-4
2 Louisville 13-4
3 Marquette 13-4
4 Notre Dame 11-6
5 Pittsburgh 11-6
6 Syracuse 11-6
7 Villanova 10-8
8 Providence 9-8
9 St. John's 8-9
10 Cincinnati 8-9
11 Rutgers 5-13
12 South Florida 3-14
13 Seton Hall 3-15
14 DePaul 2-15

Sitting on a 10-8 conference record and finished with regular season play, Nova is guaranteed no worse than 8th place in the conference. The one game that Nova Nation can keep an eye on that would impact them is Saturday's matchup between UConn and Providence. Tipoff is set for 12p.

The Huskies will be serving a post-season ban, however the Friars are sitting on a 9-8 conference record and own the tiebreaker with the 'Cats.

Should Providence win, they would grab the #7 spot in the conference tournament, placing Villanova with the eighth seed.

Looking at the brackets, the 7-seed would face up with the tenth seed at 7p on Wednesday at Madison Square Garden. That winner would advance to play the #2 seed.

The 8-9 game will tipoff at 12noon on Wednesday with the winner advancing to meet the Conference's top seed.
