Comcast to air Villanova baseball games from Pittsburgh this weekend

Matt Ryerson-US PRESSWIRE

Baseball has a long history at Villanova, where it was the first intercollegiate athletic team to be formed on campus, with varsity competition beginning in 1866. Villanova baseball's 147 seasons put the school in the top-3 oldest baseball programs in the NCAA ranks, and despite struggles in recent seasons, the program has an all-time record that remains well over .500.

This weekend, alumni and fans in the Philadelphia area will be able to watch the season-ending series between the Wildcats' baseball team and the Pittsburgh Panthers on The Comcast Network. Saturday's game will have a first pitch at 3 p.m. and the Sunday game starts at noon. Those are the final two games of a three-game series that starts at 6 p.m. tonight at Charles L. Cost Field.

Saturday's game will also air in the Baltimore and Washington D.C. Markets on the Comcast Network.

The Wildcats have seven games left in the season, all on the road.
