Villanova Track and Field Heads to NCAA East Regional Meet

Villanova's quest for a National Championship begins this weekend as members from the Wildcat men’s and women’s track & field team head to Greensboro, NC for the NCAA East Regional Championship Meet.

North Carolina A&T will host the three day competition which is scheduled to run from May 23-25. The Irwin Belk Track inside Aggie Stadium will feature the top athletes in the country, east of the Mississippi. Qualifying teams and individuals will advance to the 2013 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 5-8.

The top 12 competitors and relay teams in each event at the East Regional will qualify for the NCAA Final, along with the top 12 in each event from the West Regional hosted by the University of Texas.
