The New Jersey combine (sponsored by the Nets) wasn't such a bad thing for Mouphtaou Yarou, who is on his way to Minnesota tonight to work out with the Timberwolves. The Western Conference team currently most recently had the services of former Villanova Final Four forward Dante Cunningham, and appear poised to add another big body to their front line this offseason.
According to T-Wolves beat reporter Jerry Zgoda, the Wolves are bringing a few players in on Thursday for a trial:
Wolves workouts Thurs: Tim Hardaway Jr, Caldwell-Pope, Crabbe, Ledo, Villanova C Mouphtaou Yarou, Creighton C Gregory Echenique

Yarou showed off a nifty midrange jumper this season while averaging 9.9 points per game as the Wildcat's fourth option on offense. More importantly, his strong frame allowed him to become a good defender in the Big East, and some of his best games as a senior came after the Big East schedule started, a reverse from many previous years. He averaged 7.8 rebounds and 0.9 blocks in 2012-13.
Meanwhile, the T-Wolves may need to replace Cunningham, who is an unrestricted free agent this offseason.
