Raymond Ventrone, most recently of the Cleveland Browns and formerly of the New England Patriot & New York Jets, has found his next gig. The special teams expert yesterday signed a two-year contract to take his talents out to the Bay Area and play for the San Francisco 49ers.
Since being signed by the Patriots as an undrafted free agent out of Villanova in 2005, Ventrone has enjoyed a moderately successful NFL career, registering 50 tackles, 39 of them coming on special teams duty.
Ray's little brother, Ross Ventrone, is still currently plying his trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers.
