Malachi Richardson, a 6'5" 195 lb. shooting guard from Roselle, NJ, has been offered by the Villanova Wildcats. Richardson, who plays his high school ball for Roselle Catholic and his AAU ball for Philadelphia-based Team Final, tweeted out the news on Wednesday night.
Just picked up an offer from Villanova 👌 #Blessed

Richardson, who already holds offers from the likes of Indiana, Georgetown, Syracuse and Kansas, among many others, is considered one of the elite prospects of the 2015 class. Rated 4-stars by Rivals, 247sports and Scout (as well as 5-stars by ESPN), Richardson is ranked as high as 11th nationally.
On this year's Nike EYBL circuit, Richardson played a year up on the 17U Team Final squad, alongside 2014 Top 100 recruits Ja'Quan Newton and Mikal Bridges, and more often than not drew most of the plaudits from scouts in attendance.
With Jay Wright settled in 2014 with the recent commitment of Phil Booth, he should be able to begin his focus on landing an elite backcourt player in 2015 to join the already committed Tim Delaney.
