Villanova was the second school to offer Rawle Alkins back in mid-June (following Fordham) and since then the 2016 guard has added offers from Cincinnati and Seton Hall. Alkins was named to Team NYC in the Big Strick Classic in New York City which took place this past weekend. Competing against Team USA, Alkins competed against a collection of the best talent from the classes of 2014, 2015 and 2016.
Alkins finished with 17 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists in Friday's game, getting an Honorable Mention from Zach Fleer. He also picked up some high praise from the New York Post.
Impression from today: Rawle Alkins looks like Dwyayne Wade.

Villanova has shown strong early interest in Alkins, projected by many to be one of the elite players in the 2016 class. So far, the attention is paying off. You'll remember this photo that Alkins posted to Twitter from early July.
