At the beginning of August Villanova offered Malachi Richardson, one of the top prospects in the class of 2015. Jay Wright had been on Richardson for quite some time, but following a strong July live period in which he played a year up with Team Final (alongside Mikal Bridges), Wright pulled the trigger with an offer.
Now just a couple of weeks later, Richardson has cut his list down for the first time. Here are the schools that made the cut, per Richardson's Twitter feed.
No order ; cuse , Uconn,Indiana, north Carolina , Rutgers, Ohio st,gtown,Florida, Miami, nova , Kansas and Arizona ...

First of all, great job getting 12 schools in there and some mysterious periods at the end in 140 characters are less. That's a list chock full of traditional powers, which should be expected for a player of Richardson's caliber. If Villanova is going to have a serious shot, they are going to need to have a good season and return to the upper-echelon of college basketball.
In addition to the IU visit Aug. 24, Malachi Richardson will also visit Villanova Aug. 28, he tells @SNYtv

For now though, it's good to still be in the race for Malachi Richardson's signature.
