Finally, mercifully even, college football is back in America! On the heels of Towson's shocking upset of Connecticut, your Villanova Wildcats will hope to repeat the result when they take on the Boston College Eagles. Kickoff is at 12 pm ET and the game can be watched on ESPN News.
A few of the things I'll be keeping an eye on today:
- How the lines match up. Villanova was bulldozed by strong rushing attacks and bigger offensive lines last year - what has been done to rectify that flaw?
- Kevin Monangai's role. Austin Medley was surprisingly listed as the starting RB in Villanova's pregame depth chart.
- With Al Louis-Jean suspended, can Villanova's (mostly green) WR corps. step up an take advantage in the passing attack?
- John Robertson's maturation. The QB was sensational in a Jerry Rice Award-winning maiden season. What aspects of his game have improved and/or changed?
Brian Ewart is in Alumni Stadium for us!
Chris Lane will be hanging in the game thread to chat with the community (with some modest tweeting)!
Mike Jacobs is confirmed to be on the East Coast - will he show up Alumni Stadium or the game thread?!
