Villanova's loss at FBS Boston College wasn't an upset, but strong performances by a couple of programs, including fellow CAA members Towson, helped to push the Wildcats down three slots in The Sports Network's FCS Top-25 Poll and 2 spots down in the FCS Coaches Poll. The now eighth and eleventh-ranked Villanova program is one of six from the CAA football conference to land in the polls this week.
The Towson Tigers, despite a decisive upset win over UConn on Thursday, received no first place votes in the TSN Poll while moving up to fifth. North Dakota State have retained the top spot with 145 first place votes (out of 152), while the other seven first place votes went to Eastern Washington, who scored an upset over #25-ranked Oregon State.
Other CAA teams listed in the TSN poll included New Hampshire (11), Richmond (15), Stony Brook (17) and JMU (20). Delaware (29th) and William & Mary (33rd) also received votes.
