Last Meeting/All-Time Series: The Villanova Wildcats lead the all-time series 36-27, winning eleven of the last twelve. The last meeting between the two schools occurred last season on December 15th. `Nova defeated the Explorers at the Pavilion by a score of 73-52
Head Coach: Dr. John Giannini will enter his eleventh year as La Salle's head coach. He holds the record at La Salle for most Atlantic 10 conference wins. He lead the Explorers to back-to-back 20-win seasons in the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 season. In 2013 Giannini was named Big 5 Coach of the Year when his Explorers took a share of the Big 5 Title.
Top Returners: Leading rebounders Steve Zack (9.5) and Jerrell Wright (6.6) will return this season. Steve Zack averaged 1.9 BPG and Wright owned a 57.6% FG%, both ranking first for their team in those respective categories.
Key Losses: La Salle will miss graduating-senior Tyreek Duren's 15.2 PPG and 3.5 APG, both leading the team. Tyrone Garland, third on the team with 12.5 PPG, also graduated last year.
Key Additions: La Salle welcomes Tony Washington and Amar Stukes, both 2-star recruits and redshirt-freshmen. Johnnie Shuler and Yevgen Sakhniuk are true freshmen this year.
