Malik Reaves commits to Villanova football

Villanova's Florida pipeline stayed open with their latest pledge.

Malik Reaves, a 6'1" 175 pound defensive back from Neptune Beach, Florida has committed to the Villanova Wildcats football program. Reaves, announced his decision via Twitter. Playing for Duncan U. Fletcher High School, Reaves recorded31.5 tackles, 2 forced fumbles and 2 interceptions this past season.

Reaves has primarily played at safety for Fletcher, and held an impressive offer list before committing to Villanova. Other offers included Charleston Southern, South Dakota St., North Carolina Central and Prysbyterian, among others.

Reaves, is the 12th known verbal commitment to Andy Talley and staff for the 2014 class. The class includes, OL Brandon Hitner, DB Rob Rolle, OL Rick Young, WR Alessandro Padovani, K Steve Weyler, QB Zach Bednarczyk, OL Chris Buchalski, RB Matt Gudzak, DB Mark Clements, DL Eric Drains, and WR Matt Brown (preferred walk-on).

National Signing Day is on Wednesday February 5th and is the first day that high school seniors can sign college letters of intent.
