Jalen Brunson invited to USA Basketball mini-camp

Nova commit one of 45 high schoolers invited.

USA Basketball

The recent Villanova commit, Jalen Brunson, has been invited to USA Basketball's mini-camp in Colorado Springs, CO according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Brunson, a 6'2' point guard from Stevenson HS in metro Chicago, committed to Jay Wright and the Villanova Wildcats last month.

Brunson was a member of the 2014 USA U18 National Team at the FIBA Americas U18 Championship. That squad went 5-0 en route to claiming the gold medal. In that tournament, he averaged 12.0 ppg. and 5.6 apg.

Cam Reddish, a shooting guard from The Haverford School, was also one of 20 players from invited to the mini-camp for the class of 2018. Reddish previously attended Hoops Mania last season and will likely be one of the top targets for Jay Wright when his recruiting picks up for that class.

Jay Wright has been involved with the USA Basketball program before, but you may recall the program has come under scrutiny lately with John Calipari claiming that coaches such Mike Krzyzewski are getting unfair advantages.
