College basketball rankings, week 1: Kentucky remains #1, Villanova holds at #12

Minimal movement in the first poll following the start of the season.

The AP has released the Top 25 for Week 1 of the 2014-15 College Basketball season, and Villanova is the lone Big East program to make the Top 25 holding on to their spot at #12.

'Nova defeated Lehigh in the season opener and will face Maryland-Eastern Shore on Monday night.

Kentucky took the top spot with 49 of 65 first-place votes. Arizona, Wisconsin, Duke, and Kansas round out the Top 5.
