Payton Pritchard is set to announce his commitment at a press conference at West Linn H.S. on Tuesday morning at 9:55am PST. The Oregon point guard has narrowed his list to seven finalists - Gonzaga, Michigan, Michigan State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Villanova and Wisconsin. It's thought that the Michigan schools are not really in play, as it's unclear whether either have offered Pritchard at this stage.
As of the time of this post, the 247 Crystal Ball favors Oklahoma with 75% of the predictions. There's been a run on Sooner picks since Pritchard most recently visited Norman for their midnight madness event. The fact it's his parents alma mater has contributed as well. Wisconsin is second with 12% of the votes, while Oregon and Villanova each have one pick each.
Prior to that, Pritchard visted Villanova for Hoops Mania (his third trip to the Main Line in the last year), and he has also unofficially visited Gonzaga, Wisconsin and has been a frequent visitor to Oregon given the proximity to his home.
The 6'0" 190 pound Prithcard is ranked #39 nationally in the 247Composite, and is the #8 point guard in the class of 2016. For whatever school lands him, he's going to be a nice start in 2016.
