On the heels of a week that saw the Villanova go 2-0 with a 37-point win over Maryland- Eastern Shore and a nail-biter against Bucknell, Jay Wright’s ’Nova squad has held serve at the #12 spot in the newest AP Poll.
Kentucky remains the nation's top squad after downing previously 5th-ranked Kansas. The Lexington Wildcats garnered 62 of the 65 first-place votes; Wisconsin grabbed the other three.
The Wildcats' opponent on Monday night, VCU, is ranked #14 in the new poll.
Creighton joins Villanova in the AP Poll representing the Big East; Providence enters the Coaches poll at #25. Georgetown and Xavier are also receiving votes.
